Port Douglas to Cape Tribulation Walking Tracks
Tropical and lush, this World Heritage listed region one hour north of Cairns is mind-blowing. At the area’s core is the Daintree Forest, the oldest living rainforest in the world.
Mossman Gorge is wild – everything grows to an outrageous scale. Even the butterflies are huge! Walking through the many tracks in this region is a moving experience, as nature displays how small we really are.
Further north, Cape Tribulation is breezy and its cool beaches are enticing, but beware – those beaches are home to massive saltwater crocodiles and deadly jellyfish.
Cairns is the biggest town in the area (it might even be a city) and offers a launching point for trips north to the Daintree Forest and the other World Heritage listed wonder in the neighborhood, the Great Barrier Reef.
